The PPWA Foundation awarded $2,000 in college scholarships to six Venice High School students. The 2025 scholarship winners all had impressive scholastic achievements, were involved in school activities and collectively volunteered thousands of hours of service in their community. This year, the Foundation also awarded three $1,500 scholarships to past recipients for their continuing education. The Sertoma Club of Venice recently honored various students and staff of Venice High School, handing out $14,000. Pelican Pointe Ladies Golf Association President Lynn Delaney presents a check for $6,700 to Nicole Britton, executive director of The Twig. To raise the money, the Ladies Golf Association of Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club hosted its 26th annual Member Guest Tournament. “Vegas in Paradise” was nearly sold out with 116 players.
